Dr. Rajender Pal Singh, a distinguished Indian Police Service officer (1987 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre), retired in 2023 as Director General of Police after more than three decades of service with the Government of India and the State of Uttar Pradesh. Over his career, he developed deep expertise in investigative policing, financial crime and money laundering, counter-narcotics, security and risk management, crisis response, dignitary protection, compliance programs, and institutional audits. An alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, he holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, an LLB, and a PhD, and has completed executive programs at IIM Ahmedabad, ISB Hyderabad, and the World Trade Organization, Geneva. Post-retirement, he earned certification in Corporate Governance from the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA). Currently, Dr. Singh serves as an Independent Director (DIN: 10198810) on two listed company boards and as Chief Advisor to three organizations. His exemplary service has been recognized with numerous national and international honors, including the President’s Police Medal, Chief Minister’s Medal, and the Distinguished Ashoka Award (2024).
