Kumar Sanjay Krishna, IAS (Retd.)
Kumar Sanjay Krishna studied Physics in St Stephen’s College and Delhi University before joining in IAS in 1985. Allotted to Assam cadre, Krishna held various posts in Assam and Delhi, which include Deputy Commissioner in Sonitpur and Kamrup districts, Managing Director of Assam Tea Corporation, Home Secretary in Assam, Director in PMO, Joint Secretary in Department of Economic Affairs, Additional Secretary in Agriculture Ministry. He superannuated as Chief Secretary of state of Assam. Presently he is the Chairman of Assam Electricity Regulatory Commission.
Krishna is known for his efforts in developmental works during his various filed postings. He was also involved in negotiations for financing of various large projects such as Delhi Metro Phase II, Hogenakkal and Guwahati Water Supply projects, Hyderabad ring road project, Chennai Metro etc.
An avid sportsman, Krishna plays tennis and golf regularly and a keen Photographer.
